About RecipeVersion

RecipeVersion is a free recipe app built for home cooks who never stop improving their food.

Most recipe apps are recipe discovery platforms — they want you to find and save other people's recipes. RecipeVersion is different. It's built around your recipes: the ones you've developed, the ones you're still perfecting, and the ones that finally worked.

The core feature is recipe versioning. Every time you update a recipe, you can save a new version before making changes — so you always have a full history of every iteration. Bakers can track dough hydration changes across bakes. Fermenters can log each batch of sourdough or kimchi. Anyone perfecting a signature dish can document exactly what made version 7 better than version 6.

Other features include cook mode (a step-by-step mobile view with timers), recipe remixes (fork any public recipe and track your changes), suggested edits (propose changes to another cook's recipe), side-by-side version comparison, URL import from most recipe websites, print and PDF support, and a public profile for sharing your recipe collection.

RecipeVersion is completely free. There are no subscription tiers, no premium features, and no credit card required. Publish your recipes publicly with a shareable link, or keep them private for yourself.
