Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of RecipeVersion, a service operated by Folsom Innovations ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using RecipeVersion, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use RecipeVersion.

RecipeVersion provides tools for creating, saving, publishing, versioning, searching, remixing, comparing, printing, and suggesting edits to recipes.

RecipeVersion is a software service. It does not test, certify, or professionally review recipes, food-safety instructions, allergen information, nutrition information, preservation instructions, brewing calculations, or legal compliance.

You may create an account using an email address and password, or by signing in with a third-party provider such as Google. When you sign in with Google, you authorize RecipeVersion to receive your verified email address, name, and account identifier for authentication purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current.

You may not use another person's account, impersonate another person, interfere with authentication or security controls, or attempt to access parts of the service you are not authorized to use.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account or activity violates these Terms, creates legal risk, harms other users, or threatens the security or operation of RecipeVersion.

Recipes, images, notes, suggestions, feedback, remixes, profile content, and other materials submitted by users are user content. You are responsible for your user content and for confirming that you have the rights needed to submit and publish it.

You keep ownership of your user content. By submitting user content, you grant Folsom Innovations a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, distribute, modify for technical purposes, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate, improve, protect, and promote RecipeVersion.

When you publish a recipe publicly, you understand that other users may view, save, share, remix, suggest edits to, and reference that recipe as part of RecipeVersion's public recipe features.

You may not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, misleading, harmful, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, invasive of privacy, or otherwise inappropriate for the service.

Public recipes are designed to be shared and improved over time. Other users may save public recipes to a private Cookbook, remix public recipes into their own versions, or submit suggested edits where enabled.

Recipe owners may accept, reject, or ignore suggested edits. A remix is a separate recipe controlled by the user who created the remix.

RecipeVersion may show attribution, version history, remix relationships, and deleted-user placeholders to preserve public recipe context.

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. Account deletion removes or anonymizes account-linked information according to the product's deletion behavior.

Private drafts and private account data may be deleted. Public published recipes may be retained and anonymized to a deleted-user placeholder so public links, remixes, saved recipes, and version history do not break.

Retained public recipes may be locked against new suggested edits, but may remain viewable, savable, shareable, printable, and remixable.

RecipeVersion does not test, verify, or certify recipes. Recipes may contain errors, omissions, unsafe instructions, incorrect temperatures, incorrect timing, missing allergen information, incorrect dietary labels, unsuitable substitutions, or unsafe storage guidance.

You are responsible for reviewing all ingredients, allergens, food sensitivities, dietary restrictions, nutrition needs, preparation steps, equipment instructions, storage guidance, and serving decisions before preparing, serving, or consuming food or beverages.

Do not rely on RecipeVersion as medical, nutrition, allergy, food-safety, professional, or emergency advice. Consult qualified professionals and authoritative safety resources where appropriate.

Fermentation, canning, preservation, brewing, smoking, curing, and alcohol-related recipes can carry additional risks, including contamination, pressure buildup, spoilage, unsafe acidity, unsafe alcohol production or consumption, fire, equipment damage, and legal restrictions.

You are responsible for following trusted safety standards, using proper equipment, confirming pH or other safety measures where relevant, complying with local laws, and ensuring that alcohol-related content is used only by people legally permitted to do so.

RecipeVersion does not verify OG, FG, ABV, IBU, pH, processing times, preservation safety, brewing safety, equipment safety, or legal compliance.

RecipeVersion, its software, design, branding, and non-user content are owned by Folsom Innovations or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse RecipeVersion except as allowed by law or by features we provide through the service.

RecipeVersion may use or link to third-party services for authentication (such as Google Sign-In), hosting, storage, email delivery, security, or external content. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party sign-in providers is subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies.

RecipeVersion is provided as-is and as-available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Folsom Innovations disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that RecipeVersion will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, complete, available, or suitable for any particular purpose.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Folsom Innovations will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, service interruption, injuries, illness, allergic reactions, spoilage, equipment damage, legal issues, or other consequences arising from recipes or use of RecipeVersion.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Folsom Innovations' total liability for any claim related to RecipeVersion will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use RecipeVersion in the 12 months before the claim or 100 US dollars.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of RecipeVersion. We may update these Terms as the product, law, or business needs change.

If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice. Continued use of RecipeVersion after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
