Terms

These terms are a best-effort draft for planning and private testing. They are not final legal language and must be reviewed before public launch.

RecipeVersion provides tools for creating, saving, publishing, versioning, searching, remixing, and suggesting edits to recipes. You are responsible for how you use the service and for the content you submit.

You may not use RecipeVersion to submit unlawful, harmful, misleading, infringing, or abusive content, or to interfere with the security or operation of the service.

Recipes, images, notes, suggestions, feedback, remixes, and profile content are user-generated content. You are responsible for confirming that you have the rights needed to submit that content.

By submitting content, you allow RecipeVersion to host, display, store, reproduce, format, and distribute that content as needed to operate the service, including displaying public recipes and their version history.

Public recipes may be viewed, saved, and remixed by other registered users. Suggested edits may be accepted or rejected by the recipe owner.

If you delete your account, private drafts and private account data may be deleted. Public published recipes may be retained so that public recipe links, remixes, saved recipes, and recipe history do not break.

Retained public recipes are anonymized to a deleted-user placeholder. The deleted-user placeholder does not provide a browsable profile. Retained recipes may be locked against new suggested edits, but may remain viewable, savable, and remixable.

RecipeVersion does not test, verify, or certify recipes. Recipes may contain errors, omissions, unsafe instructions, incorrect timing, incorrect temperatures, missing allergen information, or unsuitable substitutions.

You are responsible for reviewing all ingredients, allergens, food sensitivities, dietary restrictions, nutrition needs, preparation steps, equipment instructions, storage guidance, and serving decisions before preparing, serving, or consuming food or beverages.

Do not rely on RecipeVersion as medical, nutrition, allergy, food-safety, or professional advice. Consult qualified professionals where appropriate.

Fermentation, canning, preservation, brewing, and alcohol-related recipes can carry additional risks, including contamination, pressure buildup, spoilage, unsafe acidity, unsafe alcohol production or consumption, and local legal restrictions.

You are responsible for following trusted safety standards, using proper equipment, confirming pH or other safety measures where relevant, complying with local laws, and ensuring that alcohol-related content is used only by people legally permitted to do so.

RecipeVersion does not verify OG, FG, ABV, pH, processing times, preservation safety, or brewing/legal compliance.

RecipeVersion is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, RecipeVersion and Folsom Innovations disclaim warranties and are not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, allergic reactions, illness, spoilage, equipment damage, legal issues, or other consequences arising from recipes or use of the service.

These terms may be updated as the product and legal requirements evolve. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
